Your ambition may be to become an outstanding performer of music theatre and to stretch your talents as far as possible: to reach the West End, or beyond. You may be focused on reaching the next stage: getting an agent and starting to work. Our ambition is to deliver that outstanding, creative and relevant professional training.

We strive to develop an individual's talent beyond expectations and we share each student's ambition for success.

In the past seven years, BAPA has achieved an extraordinary level of success. Our students have gone on to work on stage, in television; they have formed their own theatre companies and completed prestigious post-graduate courses.

BAPA has also grown, along with the success of its students, and now offers two separate musical theatre courses as well as a new popular music course. We are seeking the best, the most committed students of music theatre to join us in September 2007.

“I've watched BAPA grow into a centre of music theatre training with a real sense of what it takes in the professional theatre.”

- Mary Hammond, Director, Musical Theatre Department, Royal Academy of Music, London

“BAPA is committed to training Music Theatre skills - a commitment which runs through this ambitious new academy. It has set out to make a difference and I have seen and admired the results.”

- Andrew Hilton, Artistic Director, Shakespeare at the Tobacco Factory

“It is clear that the teaching team is skilled at enabling students to find and use both their sung and spoken voices as strong and creative instruments in all aspects of performance. I have been genuinely impressed with the results I have seen in the student shows over the years of BAPA's existence.”

- Christina Shewell, theatre voice teacher, specialist speech and language therapist and honorary senior lecturer in the Department of Human Communication Science, University College London

“In terms of commitment and working together as an ensemble, and certainly in terms of their vocal development, BAPA students rival those from any music theatre course I've seen.”

- Dan Danson, Artistic Director, Tobacco Factory Theatre, Bristol

When I am asked to describe the qualities which I believe define BAPA I can simply say that it stands for excellence. So you can expect two things from us, firstly our dedication to deliver training of the highest quality which impacts on every student; we strive to accelerate your individual learning and help you to achieve your maximum potential. Secondly, to provide you with training which is relevant. Our courses are rigorous and related to the profession, affording you the best opportunity of succeeding in your chosen career.

We are interested in you. We want to know and understand you in order that we might relate the best learning methods and desired outcomes to your needs.

Apply for an audition today. We look forward to meeting you.

With best wishes
