CHARITY

Academy Theatre is a charitable organisation whose aim is to ensure the stability and refurbishment of the Academy Theatre building. Although the theatre is well equipped, much of the equipment and systems is out-dated and in need of replacement / overhaul to bring it up to modern standards.

The long-term aim is to offer a range of quality theatrical, musical and other entertainment experiences which promote a love for the arts and specifically a love for this theatre, by engaging the community with this facility and creating projects relevant and exciting to them. We have a vision for this theatre as a cultural focus for the community and a resource for expertise in training. We want to draw people to the building to participate in and create projects.
